Joseph T. Strauss is a dedicated defense attorney at Glozman Law. Prior to joining the firm, he built experience as a legal intern for the Federal Defender Program for the Northern District of Illinois, as well as the Cook County Public Defender. After training under the firm’s founder for a year and a half, Strauss brings deep knowledge of complex criminal matters, from white collar cases to violent felonies.

Strauss approaches every case with focus, precision, and an unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcome. He has extensive experience reviewing discovery material in a multitude of state and federal cases, uncovering the issues that impact the case, and developing strategies on how to move forward.

As an advocate, Strauss also recognizes that legal writing and research play a key role in effectively defending a case. He has drafted memoranda and appellate briefs for both state and federal courts, using his careful analysis and persuasive advocacy to advance our clients’ interests, even in cases involving unsettled areas of law.

Strauss received his law degree, cum laude, from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he competed nationally on the school’s renowned Trial Team and earned numerous awards for academic excellence. In his free time, he continues to mentor aspiring trial lawyers as a coach for Chicago-Kent’s trial advocacy program.
